Elon Musk’s DOGE initiative, aimed at cutting wasteful federal spending, has called out a controversial government-funded “antiracism” training that labeled infants as racists. The program, funded under President Joe Biden’s administration, has sparked outrage, prompting President Donald Trump to take action by shutting down all Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) offices within the federal government.
Musk Calls Out ‘Racist Baby’ Training
Conservative activist Chris Rufo, known for exposing DEI-related discrimination, highlighted the program in a viral X post on Friday. The training, backed by the Department of Education, was designed for teachers after the George Floyd protests and pushed a controversial narrative about racial bias in children.
One slide from the training, titled “Did You Know? Racial Awareness In The Early Years”, claimed that infants develop racial biases as early as three months old if not exposed to diversity.
According to the program:
- At 3 months: Babies start recognizing faces and tend to favor those they see most often—usually their own race.
- At 9 months: They struggle to recognize faces from other racial groups unless frequently exposed to diversity.
- By age 2: Children start noticing racial differences and supposedly internalize “power dynamics.”
- By age 3: They begin assigning positive traits to the dominant race and forming biases.
- At age 5: Children allegedly start showing social biases, often assigning negative traits to non-white races—but can still be taught to fight against “racial injustice.”
A DEI consultant in the training directly called young children racist, stating:
“Racist idiocy is a form of racism.”
Musk blasted the program in an X post, calling it an example of left-wing ideology corrupting the government.
“Funding for racist baby training is canceled,” Musk declared.
Trump Administration Eliminates Federal DEI Programs
Shortly after Musk’s post went viral, President Trump made dismantling DEI policies a top priority in his second term.
Last month, Acting Director of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Charles Ezell ordered all DEI offices within the federal government to shut down by Wednesday’s end of business. Employees working in these offices were placed on paid leave as the administration moved quickly to reverse Biden-era DEI initiatives.
All federal agencies were instructed to:
✔ Take down DEI-related websites and social media accounts
✔ Cancel all DEI training and contracts
✔ Report any attempts to continue DEI programs under vague or misleading terms
With DEI programs officially dismantled, Trump and Musk’s efforts to cut leftist influence from government spending are in full swing. While conservatives applaud the move, progressives argue that it threatens diversity efforts in the workplace.
