JUST IN: DOGE Exposes Stacey Abrams’ Group in $2 Billion Funding Scandal

Stacey Abrams, the high-profile Democratic organizer and perennial Georgia candidate, is now at the center of a major federal investigation. The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has uncovered that her organization, Power Forward Communities, was set to receive at least $2 billion in taxpayer-funded grants from the Biden-Harris administration’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The investigation raises serious concerns about government waste, financial mismanagement, and political favoritism, as Abrams’ group was founded just months before being slated for the massive payout.

EPA Halts Suspicious Payments Under New Leadership

With President Donald Trump back in office and Lee Zeldin serving as the new EPA Administrator, the days of unchecked government payouts to activist organizations appear to be over.

“I made a commitment to Congress and the American people to be a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars, and I’m following through,” Zeldin told the Washington Free Beacon.
“When we learned about the Biden administration’s scheme to quickly funnel $20 billion out of the agency, we suspected some of these organizations were created just to take advantage of the money.”

Zeldin emphasized the outrageous nature of the funding, citing Power Forward Communities’ lack of financial history.

“It’s extremely concerning that an organization that reported just $100 in revenue in 2023 was selected to receive $2 billion. That’s 20 million times its reported revenue—a clear example of reckless spending and corruption.”

Abrams’ Organization Faces Scrutiny

Power Forward Communities was founded in October 2023, shortly after Abrams’ second failed attempt to win the Georgia governorship against Brian Kemp. Despite her national reputation for boosting Democratic voter turnout, Abrams has faced multiple legal and financial setbacks in recent years.

  • In January, her voter registration group, New Georgia Project, laid off nearly all staff after the Georgia Ethics Commission imposed a record-breaking $300,000 fine for campaign finance violations.
  • Another legal entity Abrams founded to challenge election integrity laws lost a three-year court battle, ultimately being ordered to pay back $231,000 in legal costs.

Now, with Power Forward Communities under scrutiny, it appears Abrams’ latest venture is following a familiar pattern of controversy and financial mismanagement.

Where Was the $2 Billion Going?

According to a press release from the group, Power Forward Communities claimed it would use the $2 billion in federal grants for:

  • Installing heat pumps and heat pump water heaters
  • Adding solar panels and home battery systems
  • Expanding EV chargers and weatherization upgrades

However, the organization has never carried out any of these projects before, and its only public statement was its request for EPA funding.

“For an organization with zero experience, established just months ago, and with only $100 in the bank to receive a $2 billion grant—this isn’t just irresponsible, it’s outright fraud,” said Daniel Turner, Executive Director of Power the Future, in an interview with the Free Beacon.

Trump’s DOJ Signals the End of Reckless Spending

Under President Trump, the EPA is no longer a funding arm for partisan activist groups. Zeldin made it clear that misuse of federal funds under the banner of “climate equity” and “environmental justice” will no longer be tolerated.

“President Trump was elected to stop fraud and abuse by leaders who recklessly funneled taxpayer dollars to far-left activist groups,” Zeldin said.
“Those days are over.”

With investigations underway, Power Forward Communities’ funding has been blocked, and further legal action may follow as DOGE continues to probe into where taxpayer money was headed.
